Paper on mineral-associated organic carbon - now out in Science Advances

We show that the formation of new mineral-associated organic carbon (MAOC) is enabled by both soil saturation deficit and existing mineral-associated organic carbon. Surprisingly, microbial carbon use efficiency plays no detectable role in modulating formation of MAOC.
